dvd drive

DVD drive??

Can I install Windows Vista with only a CD drive? Thanks Ron

No, but you use drive emulation software such as Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc) and use that to launch setup from within an existing version of Windows and install it. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

Didn't you read the minimum hardware REQUIREMENTS for Vista?
If your computer only has a CD drive, it probabaly doesn't meet the REST of the Hardware REQUIREMENTS, either.
Since the Vista installer won't fit on a CD (its 3GB + change in size), it would definitely be hard to use a CD drive, unless it is one of the combo drives, which will do either CDs or DVDs.
